Lighthouse Illumination : Saturday Night at Nine

On the photo below, you can see from the glow of the beacon, ( as well as Bill Morton's face ) , that the illumination of the lighthouse is now complete !!!

So as advertised earlier this spring, this bulletin is to confirm a casual beach gathering for SPHLS members and their friends to toast the official illumination this Saturday evening (July 6th) at 9:00 pm. Once a suitable crowd and darkness are achieved, Bill will throw the switch, probably around 9:30 pm.

Things are supposed to warm up by then, but as it is always cooler by the shore, remember to wear warm clothes. And bring a blanket to enjoy the wee bon fire provided. Marshmallows and a few bottles of bubbly will be served to early arrivals.

Remember, walking, biking or car pooling are encouraged to preserve this ecologically sensitive area.
